Nothing beats this camera at the moment. I wouldn´t want to do my outdoor trips with a 40.000€ midformat camera and i´d certainly find another way of spending that amount of money.
So investing in the D800 or the newer D810 is something worth thinking about.
Each D800 raw file has around 60 MBs of data volume and therefor I need a lot more storage cards than with my D4. Unfortunately the transfer speed to both, the card and the computer could be quicker.
